Chicago-area home sales fell more than 22% in April compared with last year but increased over the previous month for the third straight time, according to the Illinois Assn. of Realtors.

Chicago Fed: ‘Dramatic’ drop in Midwest farmland value

The value of good farmland in several U.S. Midwestern states fell by a "dramatic" 6 percent in the first quarter, the biggest decline since 1985, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago said Thursday.
