The value of good farmland in several U.S. Midwestern states fell by a "dramatic" 6 percent in the first quarter, the biggest decline since 1985, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago said Thursday.

American Bar Association exec buys in Jefferson Park

Sarah M. Bolm bought a one-bath home at 4847 W. Catalpa Ave. in Jefferson Park from Marie E. Piltz for $370,000 on April 9.
The 1,349-square-foot home was built in 1925.
Bolm is a director of meeting planning services at the American Bar Association in Chicago.
