Paul Stuart Inc. has found a new home in Chicago.
The upscale men’s retailer whose longtime site in the John Hancock Center is to become a Best Buy Co. electronics store, is moving to a three-story building at 107 E. Oak St.
“It is perfect for Paul Stuart,” Cliff Grodd, the retailer’s CEO, says in a press release. “(Oak Street is) a neighborhood that is steeped in tradition, but at the same time is experiencing an exciting and energizing resurgence.”
Construction of the new store is under way, with an opening slated for early fall. Paul Stuart had about 22,000 square feet of selling space in the Hancock Center, where the company had been based for more than a decade. That store recently closed.
