Tax lawyer spends $2.021M in Burr Ridge

Richard and Anne Morley bought a 4.5-bath home at 69 Tomlin Circle in Burr Ridge from D&T Tomlin Inv LLC for $2.021 million on Jan. 12.

The 7,124-square-foot house sold for $1,216,500 in April 2003. It was built in 1981 in the North Burr Ridge neighborhood.

Mr. Morley is a partner and managing member at the law firm of Gebert & Morley, LLC. His practice focuses on tax compliance and planning, estate and trust planning and administration, corporate transactional practice, and IRS controversy work. He was previously a judicial law clerk with the Supreme Court of Illinois and an accountant at Checkers, Simon & Rosner.

He holds an M.S.T. in taxation from the DePaul University harles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business (1987) and a J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law (1991).

Ms. Morley is the chief financial officer and treasurer at Aurora Investment Management LLC, a privately owned hedge fund sponsor. The company is a subsidiary of Natixis Global Asset Management, LP.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 106 home sales in Burr Ridge during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $567,500.
